Kitty waking you up in the night?

Nighttime drive-bys interrupting your sleep??

This is your kitty wanting you to be awake to hang out, play or feed (usually the feeding).

To avoid this, establish solid routines as soon as the kitty comes to your home. We understand that routines are not always routine (such as shift workers for example) but you can nevertheless teach your kitty that there’s no food within 15 – 30 minutes of you getting out of bed.

If your kitty wakes you up in the middle of your sleeping time, ignore it.

If your kitty wakes you up within an hour of when you need to get up, stay in bed until at least 15 minutes beyond when your kitty stops hassling you.

If you’re wanting to have a sleep-in that goes past kitty’s usual feeding time, give kitty a snack before you go to bed.

Which gender is my cat?

Hey, it’s difficult to see what’s hidden under all that fur! Nevertheless, it’s important to know your kitty’s gender as there are different medical conditions common to each gender.

Take a look at these diagrams to help you determine your kitty’s gender.

In general, cats can be desexed as soon as they weigh 1kg. Cats can reproduce from the age of FOUR MONTHS this includes females becoming pregnant whilst they are still really only a kitten themselves. Please have your cats desexed as young as possible

Overcoming Allergies in Humans

This site isn't qualified to give medical advice for humans. We can, however recommend that you ask your GP for a referral to an allergy specialist who does the desentitisation process. This process will render you no longer allergic to the environmental allergens to which you are susceptible. Usually, more than one allergen can be dealt with at once eg pollens, grasses, dust mites, animals.
